Levi's Type 3 Sherpa Turcker Jacket - Fine Line

Based on the original Jean Jacket first produced in 1962, the classic Trucker gets a seasonal update with warm sherpa insulation on the torso and collar and lined sleeves. The jacket fits straight on the body and sits just on the hips.

This jacket tends to run small, so we suggest ordering true to size for a tailored fit and up a size for a more relaxed fit.

100% cotton

Sherpa lined torso and collar

Lined sleeves

Two button down chest pockets

Two waist level hand pockets

Adjustable snaps on rear waist

The Levi's Type III Jacket is twas first introduced in 1967 and second only to the 501 Jeans in the Levi's portfolio of iconic garments. Worn by ranchers, rock stars, truck drivers and rebels, it's known today as the "Trucker Jacket." It's the most recognizable design of Levi's denim jackets, which have continually evolved throughout the 20th century.

Levi Strauss & Co. has been innovating since the birth of the first pair of jeans on May 20th, 1873. One day the wife of a local laborer asked Jacob Davis, a tailor and one of Levi's loyal customers, to make a pair of pants for her husband that wouldn't fall apart. Jacob came up with the idea to put metal rivets at points of strain, like pocket corners and the base of the button fly. Davis collaborated with Levi and soon the first riveted clothing was made and sold. The first pair of 'jeans' were made from traditonal denim, a popular choice of fabric for men's workwear, and within a very short time the jean was a bona fide success.
